This viewer replaces obsolete glod’s mesh simplification in mesh uploader with newer and more powerfull MeshOptimizer package.

As observation point moves away from mesh models, requirements for level of detail (LOD) drops, since those details are no longer visually distinguishable. So one of effective ways to drop rendering complexity of a scene is to simplify far away models, make LOD of a mesh lower. MeshOptimizer provides a way to do that, it simplifies a mesh to fit specified limits in mesh uploader, resulting in models having multiple layers of higher simplicity.
